Untitled (Character Study):

Pilfering his mother's cubans to sell to the ratty prepubescents that loitered like an infatiguiable mold around the prison yard so he could trade the green for something more white and powdery didn't make him a bad person- he still went to church on sundays, holding his ailing mother's hand as she teetered half-blindly in her floral dress that'd faded to indistinguishable green-orange-fuchsia splotches. There was nothing in the bible that said "thou shall not steal your mother's things and sell them for crack" or " thou shall not cash false cheques and use the money to fund a minor prostitution ring." not specifically anyway. he wasn't a bad person. just a liar, a cheat, a thief, an addict and, on every second week, a very wealthy man, before he lost every penny to his habit.
